Hi, I'm Kim and I started baking when I was knee high to a grasshopper! My mother, a Home Economics teacher, used to encourage me to help fill the cake tins
every Sunday for the weekly school lunches.
Eventually my path led me to Sydney to complete a Visual Arts degree, where I also worked in renowned cake shop "Sweet Art". When I returned to New Zealand I founded Ice It - Cafe & Cake Store in Auckland, followed by Exquisit in Christchurch, to answer the call for contemporary cakes and great food.
Many baking years have past, and I find myself back in Auckland again with my family. With Exquisit I continue to fill the baking tins with good old New Zealand fare with a contemporary twist!
Upon returning to Auckland another door has also opened and I find myself producing creations for many lifestyle magazines and publications. |
